Ever since Usain Bolt burst onto the scene at the 2008 Beijing Olympics by setting three world records, the whole world has been trying to find the secret behind the Jamaican’s success. After 8 years, a Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) MP seemed to have found the answer for it.
BJP MP Udit Raj tweeted yesterday that ‘the Fastest man on Earth’ was poor and the trainer advised him to eat beef twice a day. According to the MP, the ‘beef power’ helped Bolt win nine gold medals in Olympics.
Usain bolt of Jamaica was poor and trainer advised him to eat beef both the times and he scored 9 gold medals in Olympic

As always, the controversial tweet went viral and with beef a sensitive issue for the BJP, the MP quickly clarified his statement by saying he was just reproducing Bolt’s trainer’s statement and was not advocating people to eat beef.
My tweet is not even remotely connected to advocate beef eating rather it is reproduction of Bolt trainer statement
— Dr. Udit Raj, MP (@Dr_Uditraj)
"My remark is in context of allegations that athletes don't have enough facilities," Raj was quoted as saying by News18.
I cited circumstances ofJamaica that despite poor infrastructure & poverty Bolt won 9 gold so our players should find ways like that to win
— Dr. Udit Raj, MP (@Dr_Uditraj)
I intended to convey-players & society to look at ways to win in games rather blaming circumstances & Govt & eating is their choice
— Dr. Udit Raj, MP (@Dr_Uditraj)
As usain bolt &trainer found ways and means to win medals similarly our players and trainers should do as per their circumstances
