Liverpool defeated Wolverhampton Wanderers 2-1 in a hard-fought Premier League match. Goals from Luis Diaz and Mohamed Salah in the first half gave Liverpool a commanding lead. Despite a second-half fightback from Wolves, highlighted by Matheus Cunha 67th-minute goal, the Reds held on for the victory. This win pushed Liverpool seven points clear of Arsenal at the top with 60 points.

The English Premier League match between Liverpool and Wolverhampton Wanderers ended with a 2-1 victory for the Reds, extending their lead at the top of the table to seven points. Liverpool took control early with first-half goals from Luis Diaz (15’) and Mohamed Salah, who converted a penalty to take his tally to 23 league goals.

Despite dominating early on, Liverpool struggled in the second half, failing to register a shot on goal. Wolves capitalized on this with Matheus Cunha's stunning strike in the 67th minute, but despite a stronger second half, they couldn't find the equalizer.

The win took Liverpool to 60 points, seven ahead of second-placed Arsenal, with 13 matches remaining in the season. Wolves, still fighting relegation, remain in 17th place, just two points above the relegation zone, with 19 points. Liverpool’s Virgil van Dijk acknowledged that the second half was sloppy but praised the team's resilience in securing the win.

Wolves’ manager Vito Pereira emphasized the positive impact of his side’s second-half performance, urging his team to maintain that intensity throughout matches. Liverpool’s next challenge is against Aston Villa, followed by a crucial encounter with Manchester City.
