Marcus Rashford will be back before the break, admits Ole Gunnar Solskjaer

Manchester United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has finally opened up about Marcus Rashford’s injury, admitting that the 21-year-old will be back sooner than later. The English striker had to be replaced in a 2-0 defeat to West Ham last weekend, with many at the club fearing the worst about their only striker. However, now Solskjaer in an interview with MUTV, Solskjaer has admitted that Rashford’s injury was not as bad as the club initially feared and he should be back soon.

"He's not very, very bad. We hope to see him before the international break," Solskjaer told MUTV.

However, in that time period, the Red Devils play Arsenal, AZ Alkmaar and Newcastle United, which could see Mason Greenwood get a chance to show what he can do. The young striker missed out against West Ham United, but started in the mid-week Carabao Cup fixture, doing relatively well, which should see him start at two of the next three games.

Yet, Rashford’s injury has left the club without a bonafide attacker, with Anthony Martial also out injured. But with Jesse Lingard and Daniel James fully fit, it could be a decent solution for Solskjaer, until the next international break.
