Tottenham boss Mauricio Pochettino is looking for new full-backs with Kieran Trippier already signing for Atletico Madrid and Danny Rose allowed to leave the club. That does leave the North London side without any proper options barring Juan Foyth, Ben Davies, Serge Aurier and Kyle Walker-Peters.
It’s not options that a club trying to challenge for a title would want to have, which is why the Evening Standard has reported that Ryan Sessegnon is back on the radar. The young starlet does have a £40 million price tag on his head but that should not affect Tottenham.
They’ve already added Tanguy Ndombele and Jack Clarke spending close to £80 odd million, and hold a long-term interest in Sessegnon. They’ve been tracking the 19-year old since 2016 and still hold an interest in him despite his struggles last season.
Tottenham aren’t the only ones, as Arsenal, Liverpool, Borussia Dortmund, Juventus and even Paris Saint-Germain all have a lingering interest. However, Spurs also looking to sign Sessegnon’s twin brother in the same deal and that has caused any potential deal to come to a standstill.
