Reports | Mesut Ozil to stay at Arsenal

Even though Mesut Ozil hasn't made an appearance for the London-based team, he will stay at the Emirates Stadium for the rest of the season. The German was one of the players that were on the brink of leaving the club during this summer transfer window, but reports have said that he will stay put.

Despite some problems off the pitch a few days ago that have disturbed both Mesut Ozil and Sead Kolasinac, along with some injuries during pre-season, the 30-year-old is set to play under the Gunners this upcoming season. His agent, Dr Erkut Sogut has reiterated in an interview that his client will not move this summer, according to the Daily Mail.

The transfer window closes on Monday, and multiple approaches were rejected by the English side, namely one from Fenerbahce, who even released a statement backtracking on the deal, saying that Ozil was financially unviable.

The player will join Unai Emery's squad for the next game on Sunday against their eternal rivals, Tottenham Hotspur. After an incisive defeat to Liverpool in Anfield Road, the team looks to bounce back and get to the top of the Premier League table alongside Manchester City and Liverpool.

This is the opportunity for an epic comeback, as fans from both teams dislike each other, and a win could be massive for Arsenal or Tottenham's aspirations.
