The future of Philippe Coutinho is still without an answer. Many destinies were pointed to former Inter Milan man with the interest from mainly the Premier League biggest sides. From Manchester United to a return to Liverpool, or even London rivals in Tottenham and Arsenal, there were a lot of speculations surrounding Brazilian's future.
However, the window is closed and a return to England is out of the equation. His options now indicate that Coutinho could be included in the so-called "Operation Neymar", as Barcelona continues to analyze their options to bring Neymar back to Camp Nou. Nonetheless, the other markets are still open and Bundesliga champions Bayern Munich have now surged ahead as contenders in the pursuit of Coutinho.
According to Mundo Deportivo, the German side have already asked Coutinho's representatives about the conditions to sign the Brazillian, and also the fee that Barcelona will demand to let him leave Camp Nou. Having paid €145 million last year, Barcelona will not ask a lower value for the player, but it looks like the Spanish giants are open to a loan move with an option to buy at the end of the season.
The Bundesliga transfer window closes on the 25th of August, so the next two weeks will be decisive to see whether or not Philippe Coutinho does indeed join the German champions.
