Reports | Philippe Coutinho is closing in on his Barcelona exit this summer

Philippe Coutinho is close to leaving Camp Nou after a disappointing first season playing La Liga. The club has received several offers for the Brazilian international and are seriously considering selling the player to the highest bidder, recouping some of the investment made a year ago.

The Philippe Coutinho saga may finally come to an end within the next few days as negotiations finally advance to sell the former Liverpool superstar. After weeks of weighing the pros and cons of the 27-year-old in the squad, Barcelona looks determined to ship him out. The Premier League has been touted as his most likely destination, with interest from Manchester City and Liverpool.

But while they’ve been linked in the past, nothing has happened since with the rumor milling churning out absolutely nothing. As stated in Sport English, the current Spanish champion have multiple offers lined up for the Brazilian but are willing to loan him as well. However, that loan offer will contain an obligatory option to buy the player in the summer of 2020.

Coutinho's desire is to leave Barcelona to revive his career while keeping his wage structure the same. This matter is being treated carefully from FC Barcelona's side as they don't want to devalue the player nor upset their main star Lionel Messi, considering they're both good friends off the pitch.
