Indian football team receives a boost in FIFA rankings

In the latest FIFA rankings, the Indian football team has moved up two places and has grabbed the 105th spot and with 328 ranking points, the team is just below Zimbabwe and one spot above Niger. A week back, the team qualified for the 2019 AFC Asian Cup after beating Macau.

After qualifying for the 2019 AFC Asian Cup a week back, the Indian football team has received yet another surprise in the form of a boost in FIFA rankings. The team has moved up two places and is now at the 105th spot.

Last month, the Blue Tigers were ranked 107th but in the latest FIFA rankings, they are on the 105th spot, owing to their win over Macau last week in the AFC Asian Cup 2019 qualifiers. 

Team India now have 328 ranking points and are just below Zimbabwe and one spot above Niger.

Moreover, India are at the 14th spot among the Asian Football Confederation countries. 

India succeeded in qualifying for the 2019 AFC Asian Cup in the UAE after a 4-1 win over Macau on October 11.
