"I know about the Indian Super League and unluckily or luckily had to reject the offers to be the coach of some of the teams as it involved four months' commitment and my priority is Manchester United," Robson was quoted as saying by First Post.
“Captain Marvel” as he is fondly known as, is in India to inaugurate the "Go The Distance" artificial football pitch, a first in the nation. The turf is made out of recycled rubber by Apollo Tyres, who are associated with Manchester United, in Powai, Mumbai.
Robson, who was the longest serving captain of Manchester United, also stated that he has heard a lot of good things about the ISL from former England international Peter Reid, who managed Mumbai City in the inaugural season, and former Manchester United defender Mikael Silvestre, who has played for Chennaiyin FC.
