RCB W vs UPW W | Twitter thankful to ball girl as she entertains audience during uneventful contest

Viewers often look for distractions during a listless encounter, and a young ball girl turned saviour during the WPL match between RCB and UPW. With the UPW innings moving nowhere, the audience was thrilled to see a young girl’s never-say-die attitude as she perfected her bottle-dropping skills.

‌The UP Warriorz had a disastrous start after being sent in by the Royal Challengers Bengaluru in the Women’s Premier League match in Navi Mumbai. The UP-based outfit slid to 50/5 inside nine overs, forcing Deepti Sharma and Dendra Dottin to take the risk-averse route to steady the innings at Dr DY Patil Sports Academy on Monday.

A majority of the viewers were already on their mobile phones after the duo could garner just one boundary in the next four overs. Unsurprisingly, one of the ball girls also turned her attention to her bottle flipping challenge, trying to land it properly after flipping it with her hand.

Though she was unsuccessful in the initial attempts, she kept going at it, courtesy of the game situation, before finally persevering her way to cracking the challenge. She dropped four in a row perfectly amid loud cheers from the crowd when the replay was shown on the big screen.

The young girl gave a cool shrug when the cameras panned on her as though it was business as usual for her, with the roars still coming in from the crowd. Twitter was thankful that they were finally seeing some entertainment in an otherwise boring encounter.
