The trade deal involving Sanju Samson is finally paying off to Chennai Super Kings. In the El Clásico match against Mumbai Indians, he went on to smash a ton for his team. With his century, he fell three runs short, levelling with the team total of Mumbai Indians.

Sanju Samson didn't have a good start to the IPL 2026 season. This even left the CSK fans and management frustrated, as he was involved in a massive trade deal with Rajasthan Royals. But Samson showcased his impressive form for the team over the last four games, which has helped CSK a lot.

A few days back, the team went against Mumbai Indians, as the El Clásico took place at the Wankhede Stadium. The venue was known to be a batting paradise, and Samson showed exactly why it is favourable to the batters. He went on to score 101 runs off 54 balls, with 10 fours and 6 sixes.

This was also Samson's second century in this IPL season. Following this, he also showcased some brilliance with the gloves, taking impressive catches. Mumbai Indians were bowled out for 104 runs, as they managed to defeat Sanju Samson by just 3 runs.
