Did Ashwin Just Compare Karthik Ahead of Dhoni? Debate Erupts

Ravichandran Ashwin might just have started another controversy. In the clash between Rajasthan and Kolkata, Dhruv Jurel showcased some brilliant piece of keeping, as he stumped Cameron Green. A fan compared it with Dhoni but Ashwin responded by saying that it was more of a DK moment.

Fans got to witness a once in a lifetime piece of wicket-keeping by Dhruv Jurel in the game against Kolkata Knight Riders. The ball was going down the leg side but he went on full reflex mode to save the ball from going for a boundary. Not only did he save the ball from going for a four, he also threw it back to the stumps to take the wicket of Cameron Green.

Following this wicket, even Ravichandran Ashwin could not control himself from reacting to the same. He posted a tweet highlighting the skills of Dhruv Jurel. A Twitter user responded to Ashwin’s tweet by saying that this stumping was more like that of MS Dhoni.

At this moment, fans expected Ashwin would agree to the same, as he has spent a lot of time with Dhoni. But he replied to his tweet by saying that it was a DKish Moment. It meant that this moment was more like the stumpings of Dinesh Karthik, rather than MS Dhoni.

The tweet made by Ravichandran Ashwin didn't compare Dhoni with Dinesh Karthik. While Dhoni is known for his wicket-keeping skills, Karthik is known for some flying saves, similar to the one which was given by Dhruv Jurel in the last game. If Jurel would have ran towards the stumps and taken a wicket, even Ashwin could not have denied the fact that it matched like that of Dhoni.
