Playing their final match of the league stages, Mumbai Indians captain Harmanpreet Kaur decided to bat first against the Royal Challengers Bengaluru. The decision didn’t prove decisive when Sabbhineni Meghana and Smriti Mandhana offered a flying start inside the powerplay, gathering 41 runs in 21 balls for the opening stand. With the skipper scoring a fifty, followed by Ellyse Perry’s grafting role and Richa Ghosh’s cameo, Georgia Wareham accompanied the Aussie all-rounder in the middle. Just when the Mumbai side needed to curb the run-scoring with wickets, the spider cam came in between the ball and Natalie’s bucket hands.

After conceding a four on the first ball of the penultimate over, a single followed before Perry regained the strike. This is when Amanjot Kaur erred with a full toss at the pads that the right-hander flicked towards deep mid wicket. The ball went straight towards Natalie at the deep, who failed to gather the ball as it slipped through her palms. Subsequently, the English great was seen as furious and pointed at something in the air. Right after, the replays showed that the ‘spidercam’ was in the way of the white cherry’s trajectory, gifting RCB a boundary. However, the English all-rounder seemed raged at the uncontrollables and the Twitterverse buzzed about it.

Mumbai Indians team has issues with fielding!

She is stepping up in every game. Today also. Sometimes it's not enough. After all it's a team game.

Mumbai Indians have bowling and fielding issues. Batting depth issue too. 

So on paper Gujarat and Delhi look better (collectively as a team)
