According to ESPNcricinfo, Klaasen is set to earn INR 23 crore as the first retained player The franchise has also secured two additional retention agreements with Australian allrounder Pat Cummins who served as Sunrisers captain in 2024 for INR 18 crore and Indian allrounder Abhishek Sharma for INR 14 crore Cummins who guided Sunrisers to the final last season will remain as captain in 2025
Furthermore, reports indicate that Sunrisers Hyderabad SRH is expected to keep Travis Head and Nitish Kumar Reddy although there is no official word on the amounts at which they will be retained The IPL has established October 31 as the deadline for retentions before the mega auction later this year.
