Australia made light work of Pakistan at the Bellerive Oval in the final T20I of the three-match series to complete a dominant clean-sweep. The hosts chased down a target of 118 in just 11.2 overs with seven wickets to spare, their efforts carried hard by the big broad shoulders of Marcus Stoinis. Walking in at 30/2 with the result still in the balance, the all-rounder struck five maximums and as many boundaries in an unbeaten 27-ball knock of 61 to take the opposition to the cleaners. His explosive knock included 20-run plus decimations of both premier Pakistan quicks Haris Rauf and Shaheen Afridi, with the former even subjected to a humiliating maximum that had the crowd and commentators alike in disbelief.

Stoinis renewed hostilities with Rauf in the ninth over with a smashing boundary, followed it with a maximum, and then stroked another four for good measure. However, he had saved his best for the last. The under-pressure express speedster added to his woes by landing the ball right in the slot and it was all the invitation Stoinis needed. He stood back in his crease, waited for the ball to arrive, and with one clean golf-like stroke sent the white rock flying over midwicket. There was no hint of joy on the all-rounder's face even as it landed on the roof and went outside the arena while the likes of David Warner in the commentary box could not hold back their emotions and showered praise on the veteran.
