According to a report published by Cricbuzz, Shubman Gill and Avesh Khan will be released by Team India after the match against Canada in Florida. Shubman Gill and Avesh Khan were both part of the Indian T20 World Cup squad as travelling reserves alongside Khaleel Ahmed and Rinku Singh.

‌After securing a spot in the Super Eight stage with three consecutive victories over Ireland, Pakistan, and the USA, the Rohit Sharma-led side is gearing up to face Canada in their last group-stage match in Florida on June 15.

As reported by Cricbuzz, Shubman Gill and Avesh Khan are slated to depart after India's encounter with Canada. Although both the players travelled with the squad to Florida, they will not be part of the team travelling to the West Indies for the Super Eight stage. Given Yashasvi Jaiswal's role as the backup opener and the importance of spinners during the Caribbean phase of the World Cup, Shubman Gill and Avesh Khan's roles diminish in significance, leading to their return home. Meanwhile, Rinku Singh and Khaleel Ahmed will stay with the squad, awaiting further updates on their roles and involvement.

Following their match against Canada, India will head to Barbados for their first Super Eight fixture on June 20. The team's subsequent matches are scheduled in Antigua on June 22 and in St Lucia on June 24.
