PAK vs BAN | Twitter reacts to Rizwan filling the Rawalpindi empty stands with gargantuan six

In the growing age of cricket as a sport, it is a rare sight to find empty stands in a venue, especially in Asian nations. Mohammad Rizwan seemed to take it personally and tried to fill the void with a huge six on the second day of the Rawalpindi Test between Pakistan and Bangladesh.

With the score reflecting 158/4 in 41 overs, the overnight batters resumed from where they started in the morning session of the second day. Saud Shakeel and Mohammad Rizwan extended their partnership by smartly negating the Bangladeshi pacers. Even the reintroduction of Nahid Rana, Shakib Al Hasan, and Mehidy Hasan Miraz didn’t make any impact with the pair converting a fifty into a century with a Rizwan six stealing the spotlight.

As the wicketkeeper-batter neared the century mark, Rizwan seemed to take the aggressive route against the spinners. On the last ball of the 72nd over, Shakib bowled a fuller one into the right-hander with the latter replying with a shimmy down the ground heave across the line. He timed the stroke neatly off the willow and the ball soared high and handsome miles away from the deep square leg fence. Sixes not so frequent in red-ball cricket as it is in white ball affairs, and Rizwan’s humongous stroke left the Twitterverse abuzz.

That's massive!
