However, the pair of Faf du Plessis and Rajat Patidar stabilised the stage for the visitors with Patidar switching gears and smoking Hardik Pandya for a six in the latter’s first over itself.
After conceding just three runs in the first four deliveries of the over, Patidar latched onto a good length delivery outside the off stump. The ball came nicely onto the bat as the Madhya Pradesh batter used the bottom hands perfectly to time the ball over long on the region for a mesmerising six, leaving Virat Kohli and the Twitterverse in applause.
