Punjab Kings have won the early mini-battle against David Warner on Monday as they have dismissed the talismanic opener with the first ball of the match at Dr DY Patil Sports Academy. The ball was bowled by Liam Livingstone, and Warner interestingly decided to get on the strike at the last moment.

Punjab Kings (PBKS) got off to a dream start against Delhi Capitals (DC) on Monday in Match 64 of IPL 2022 at Dr DY Patil Sports Academy, Mumbai. After winning the toss and opting to bowl, Mayank Agarwal brought in Liam Livingstone to open the attack. David Warner, who initially planned to be at the non-strikers' end, decided to change the end at the very last moment after watching Livingstone's ball in hand.

However, it did not go with Warner's plan. Livingstone started with a tossed up delivery outside off stump, and Warner tried to drive it hard. But the ball had an extra bounce, which brought a thick edge off Warner's bat towards the backward point. Rahul Chahar was perfectly placed there, and he claimed an easy catch to help his side take the prized wicket.

DC, although, came back hard after losing Warner early. They raced to 35/1 at the end of three overs.
