Australian coach Justin Langer has disclosed that Australia are pretty clear in their minds as to what will be the team's squad for the first Test match against India. After the conclusion of IPL, the Virat Kohli-led India will head to Australia for a full-fledged tour, with major focus on Tests.

There is a lot of excitement around India's upcoming tour of Australia, especially given the fact that Virat Kohli's men had last won the Test series in Australia and created history by becoming the first side from sub-continent to win a Test series Down Under. Billed as the acid Test for India since they defeated Australia in the absence of country's two biggest batsmen, Steven Smith and David Warner, it will be an uphill task for the Asian side to replicate the last series' exploits.

Australia head coach Justin Langer has outlined that the hosts are very clear in regards to their side for the Test series opener versus India and asserted that he is relishing the fact that the team has aced in whites over a period of last 12-18 months. Australia are currently sitting at top of the ICC Test rankings.

“We’ve been able to play some great Test cricket in the last 12-18 months. We’re ranked No. 1 at the moment and there’s reasons for that,” Langer told AAP from Adelaide, reported Sportstar.

“In our mind, it’s pretty clear at the moment what that first Test squad would be, but it’s exciting to see if anyone else is going to put their hand up. If someone’s banging so hard on the door (in the Sheffield Shield) that we can’t ignore them, that’s what we’re looking for.”

When India last played a Test series, it was in New Zealand in February-March, where they got whitewashed. Kohli will have a point to prove when India tour Australia later this year.
