When Rohit Sharma suffered a hamstring strain against New Zealand in the final T20, he was supposed to miss the first few matches of the IPL that was initially planned to be played from March 29. However, with the Coronavirus pandemic postponing the tournament from the scheduled date to now the newly-devised avatar in UAE from September 19, Rohit was fit and possibly raring to go more than ever.
All of that was on full show during the team’s net session in Abu Dhabi when Rohit was bulldozing the bowlers with effortless ease. One of his shots was so rampant and so electric that after hitting the base, Rohit hit it on the up, only to let the count-meter do its job.
It was all fun to watch and possibly enjoy the audacity that it brought to the fore, but the fun was not so much for the moving bus outside of the ground. The ball hit the bus window and Rohit was seen celebrating the massive 95 meters six he just hit. The MI support staff, who was keeping a tab on the proceedings, was seen enquiring about the same and found out that the window was indeed broken.
