Assuming that South Africa’s Quinton de Kock is but aware of the reason behind the Indian tradition of touching one’s feet, it’s still out of place for a fan to go all the way to touch the feet of de Kock out of all cricketers on the field. We have seen fans barging into the field all naked but this incident, which took place on Day 1 of Ranchi test, was weird in its own way.
De Kock, all bewildered by this, saw security coming in within microseconds of the said fan touching the cricketer’s feet. The group of people held the guy up and ran off the field when he lost his slipper as it fell on the ground. The crowd cheered when the South African wicketkeeper, freed of keeping duties in this game with Henrich Klaasen in place, threw the guy’s chappal(slipper) back at the boundary line as a good gesture.
Lol!

Not Dhoni, Virat or Rohit! Just happened with Quinton!
Bizarre scenes: A fan runs onto the field and hugs Quinton de Kock, even touches his feet. The security guards tackle him down but it seems the fan forgot his slipper on the way back. Never mind, Quinty says, as he returns it.
