Positive approach will benefit mumbai cricket team, suggests Raju Kulkarni

Former India pacer Raju Kulkarni, who played 10 ODIs and three Test matches for the national team during 1983-87, was the chief guest at the Kalpesh Koli tournament. At the event, Kulkarni had a word of advice for selectors, parents and budding cricketers in Mumbai.

"I want to say something to the selectors... if you want to drop a player because of non-performance, drop him, but don't label him as a bad player. Every player has scope for improvement and allow him to do that. If you have a positive approach, it will help Mumbai get a lot of good cricketers," Kulkarni said as per Midday reporters.

Previously, Kulkarni was the head of Mumbai Cricket Association's Cricket Improvement Committee. The 56-year old former pacer asked youngsters in the city to work on becoming mentally tough while also advised parents to be prepared for injustice or politics but pointed out that a cricketer can overcome those obstacles by putting up solid performances.
