As per the remainder of the schedule of IPL’s 12th edition, the eight teams would be playing seven home matches at their respective home venues, which was previously a huge concern with the general elections clashing with the tournament.
The schedule is seen balancing the afternoon and the weekend matches well alongside the travel, by factoring the 2019 Lok Sabha elections dates/phases in their respective states, cities, and the consequential clearances.
In the previously released schedule, every team was seen playing a minimum of four matches with newly revamped Delhi Capitals (DC) and Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) playing five matches in that phase. The Capitals were also given three home matches, while others were assigned a minimum of two home and two away matches with DC given three home matches.
Chennai Super Kings would start the tournament with their opening match against Royal Challengers Bangalore, and have one on the last day of the league stage as well, when they take on Kings XI Punjab in Mohali. However, it is Kolkata Knight Riders who would play the last match on the double-header day against Mumbai Indians at the Eden Gardens.
The full schedule of the league stages is .
Quite interestingly, BCCI had accidentally released the knockout dates as well before quickly deleting it. However, it is difficult to ascertain if those dates would change later on.
India TV Sports Desk has saved the screenshot for you and if it is any hint of things to come, we can tell you that the final will be played on May 12.
