Pandya and Rahul had come under fire after they were found making sexist, racist, and misogynist remarks on chat show Koffee with Karan. India were touring Australia back then when the massive uproar caused by the episode had eventually led to their provisional suspension.
However, Vinod Rai-led COA had lifted the suspension of the duo after consulting amicus curiae P S Narsimha in January, for BCCI didn’t have an Ombudsman then. Both Pandya and Rahul have since then been inculcated back into the team with the all-rounder playing the New Zealand series and the wicket-keeper in the ongoing Australia tour, after getting playing time in the A team against England Lions.
Now, current BCCI Ombudsman D K Jain, who took charge at the BCCI headquarters in Mumbai this month, has revealed that no case has been referred to him regarding the duo yet.
“I have not taken up any matter Suo Motu for now. Once the COA refers a case to me, I will take it up,” said Jain, reported PTI.
While the future course of action is yet to be taken, the duo would be seen taking the field in the Indian Premier League that has been scheduled to start from March 23.
