The BCCI is all set to take matters into their own hands as they aim to resolve the speculated rift between Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma, which has been the talking point in the media in the last week. With less than a week left for the T20Is, time is running out for BCCI to resolve the issue.

All is not well in the Indian dressing room, as a speculated rift between skipper Virat Kohli and vice-captain Rohit Sharma has been doing the rounds over the course of the last one week. Rohit added fuel to the fire a few days ago, as he unfollowed Virat Kohli's wife Anushka Sharma on Instagram, igniting further rumours about an estrangement between the duo.

Now, reports suggest that the BCCI has decided to take the matter into their own hands, as CEO Rahul Johri is all set to fly to the United States and personally speak to both Kohli and Rohit, in an attempt to resolve the conflict.

“In today’s age when support groups get involved, things can get messy. Both are mature individuals and things should be back on track after being spoken with,” a source close to the BCCI was quoted as saying by India Today.

Furthermore, it is also being reported that head coach Ravi Shastri will address all the players of the squad, emphasizing on the need for a good atmosphere within the dressing room, amidst media reports of rifts between groups of players flying all over the place. Shastri oversaw the transition of captaincy from MS Dhoni to Kohli and hence is expected to take control of the situation and ensure that things move smoothly within the dressing room.

The BCCI also confirmed that Kohli will be addressing the media gathering later today, and the Indian skipper can expect a lot of tough questions coming his way.
