Australia wicketkeeper Alyssa Healy has expressed her desire to be a part of the women’s Indian Premier League (IPL) whenever it will happen in the near future. She has also mentioned that she had a great time playing the women’s exhibition game during the 11th edition of IPL last year.

The BCCI had organised a women’s exhibition game during the IPL’s 11th edition in 2018 at the Wankhede Stadium and this year the organisers are all set to take it to the next level. There are plans of taking this to a different level with more number of matches or more number of teams this year during the playoffs. The matches will be scheduled to be played during the primetime to attract more viewers as well. These arrangements and more success for the board might just help BCCI in starting the women’s IPL soon.

Meanwhile, Aussie cricketer Healy, who played for the Trailblazers led by Smriti Mandhana in the first ever IPL exhibition game for the women, has expressed her desire to be a part of the women’s IPL whenever it will happen. Healy said she would “100 per cent” be a part of women’s IPL whenever it is launched.

“I haven’t seen any of that so that will be fantastic to join that experience last year heading or there few days, playing in the exhibition game. Probably the next step for the Women’s Cricket in the T20I format. When it’s up and running it’s going to be quite exciting for sure a lot of girls will be able to stick there hands up for it,” Healy quoted as saying by Women’s Criczone.

Healy played for Sydney Sixers which finished runners-up in the Big Bash League earlier this year after losing to Brisbane Heat.
