VIDEO | Eoin Morgan ignores Sheldon Cottrell’s grand military send off

After Shimron Hetmyer’s hundred and Chris Gayle’s fifty in the first half of the game, the Englishmen were chasing a target of 290 in 50 overs in the second game of the series in Barbados. The visitors were off to a terrible start by losing the wicket of Jonny Bairstow for a duck in the first over. Cottrell drew the first blood for the home team and one over later he again came up with another brilliant delivery to trap the other opener Jason Roy in his next over.

However, joy knew no bounds for the pacer when he broke the 99-run partnership for the fourth wicket by sending Morgan back into the hut in the 31st over. Morgan and Ben Stokes were well set at the crease and the visitors had recovered well from early trouble but it was a ball on the leg stump that he flicked it in the air that made all the difference. Morgan got out caught by Hetmyer who took a good low catch in the deep and Cottrell had is celebration time. He did his patented military march with a salute to give the English captain a perfect send-off. However, Morgan didn’t even look at him after getting out and continued walking back into the pavilion.
