VIDEO | “Furious” Krunal Pandya appeals for “obstructing the field” after Tim Seifert comes on his way of catch

Krunal Pandya dismissed Colin Munro to give the first breakthrough for the team, he would count himself unfortunate for a couple of instance on the field. After he dropped a catch off his own bowling, Dinesh Karthik dropped a sitter in the deep and disturbed his bowling figure.

On the penultimate ball of the 9th over, the senior Pandya kept the ball on a length and after pitching it straightened a bit to which Kane Williamson was completely fooled and chipped it back to the bowler. It was not an easy catch for Krunal who dived to his right to get hold of the catch but found Seifert on his way, which blocked him from taking that catch freely.

That made Pandya livid as he instantly rose up to appeal for obstructing the field dismissal, but the umpire was unmoved by that as he was convinced that the batsman had all the rights to hold his end up. Rohit Sharma later joined the appeal and asked the umpire to consider that, but the official was unmoved by that again as he turned his head and asked India to resume play again. Krunal was completely furious by the decision as he stamped his foot to show his frustration.
