Jay Shah replaces Rahul Johri as BCCI's representative to ICC

In the BCCI’s 88th Annual General Meeting (AGM), it has been decided that BCCI Secretary Jay Shah will be Board’s representative to attend future meetings of the International Cricket Council’s (ICC) chief executives committee. Until recently, Rahul Johri was BCCI's man for the ICC meetings.

The 88th BCCI AGM took place at the BCCI headquarters in Mumbai today so as to revoke the very basis of Lodha reform and killing the Supreme Court's power in BCCI's internal politics. With Quorum in place, the BCCI was confident that they would be able to pass the judgement in their board room without any problem and in reality, it found hardly any opposition in the AGM.

The AGM has also saw the selection of Jay Shah as the BCCI representative for the ICC meetings replacing BCCI CEO Rahul Johri as the Board representative. Apart from this, the Board decided to defer the appointment of the Cricket Advisory Committee (CAC).

"It will be done after the December 3 hearing in the Supreme Court," an official said, reported PTI.

Also, the 11-point agenda put up by Jay Shah in a directory had also been approved by the AGM, with Supreme Court slated to hear their arguments on December 3. If that passes in the Supreme Court, it will be back to square one once again, and Lodha reforms would fail to see the light of the day.
