Arjun Tendulkar, son of India’s favorite cricketing son, Sachin, has been named in the 15-member Mumbai squad for the upcoming Vizzy Trophy scheduled to be held in Andhra Pradesh from August 22. Recently, the 19-year-old Arjun has been playing for MCC Young Cricketers team in T20s.

Having represented Mumbai at the under-14s, 16s, and 19s levels, Arjun was called-up to the India under-19 squad last year. The left-arm fast bowler has since been playing T20 cricket in the birthplace of cricket, England. For the MCC side, he has picked up eight wickets in his last seven outings.

Arjun has also played in the T20 Mumbai League after he was picked up for Rs 5 lakh. Snippets of the leftie bowling at international cricketers have often emerged in the past. The Mumbaikar has bowled to the Indian team in the nets. His session with English cricketers at Lord’s captured even more attention. Jonny Bairstow left the nets with an injury scare, after being struck by a yorker from Arjun.

Now, his name figures in the squad announced for the 50-over 'open' tournament by the Mumbai Cricket Association on its website on Tuesday. The Mumbai side will be led by 21-year-old Hardik Tamore.
