India’s MS Dhoni proved his worth once more as he came to the rescue for the men in blue in their crucial encounter of this year’s Asia Cup tournament. Dhoni was earlier involved in two dismissals in the first innings in the form of Imam-Ul-Haq and Asif Ali.
But he was once again influential in the dismissal of Pakistan lower-order batsman Shadab Khan in the 33rd over. In doing so, Dhoni crossed a career-landmark of 500 dismissals from behind the wicket in the limited-overs format. This meant that the 37-year-old amassed a total of 413 dismissals in the ODI format, having claimed 87 in T20I cricket.
That was the third wicket of the match for Kedar Jadhav. He tossed the ball outside off and Khan was outside his crease to go inside-out and got beaten. The world cup-winning captain gathered the ball, and took off the bails in a flash as Khan's back foot was well outside the crease. Hats Off, MS!
