VIDEO | MS Dhoni walks back to pavilion without even looking at umpire’s decision

When it comes to setting examples, no one quite does it like MS Dhoni. As a leader, he had done many, and as a keeper, well, he is terrific, but today, the honest cricketer and the sportsman that is MSD, walked back to the pavilion after edging a ball even before the umpire raised his finger.

MS Dhoni is a true ambassador of the sport and there are a few people who live the maxim “sportsmanship” to its truest sense. Not once, so many times, he has done the same and today, against Hong Kong, he produced one more moment that deserves a round of applause.

Spinner Ehsan Khan was keeping a fine line and didn’t seem to be deviating from that. That seemed to be a decent plan against MSD considering the way he has been struggling against spinners lately. As Khan bowled a ball and got it to turn from the good length spot, Dhoni steered it to the keeper for him to be gobbled up easily.

However, it was not easier for anyone to hear the sound and the umpire might have given not out. But, Dhoni was too honest a player to wait for the umpire’s decision and instead started walking back immediately.

He might not have troubled the scorers but he has certainly won many hearts. Just MSD things, you know!
