After a dominating show against the Windies at home, Indian cricketers have improved their overall points in the ICC ODI rankings which were released today. Kohli remained at the first position of the batsmen’ list with 899 points while his deputy in the one-dayers Sharma remained second in the list with 871 points to his name.
Meanwhile, Shikhar Dhawan has moved up a place in the list which was released by the world body today and is now ranked eighth with 767 points while former skipper Mahendra Singh Dhoni is ranked 20th in the recently-declared rankings.
The bowlers’ list looks better than the batsmen’s for India as there are as many as three Indian bowlers in the ODI list who have found a place among the top five best bowlers in ODI cricket. Gujarat pacer Bumrah is leading the bowling chart with a total of 841 points while chinaman Kuldeep Yadav has taken the third place with 723 points to his name. The other wrist spinner in the Indian limited-overs side – Yuzvendra Chahal has performed exceedingly well in recent times which has helped to improve his ranking and is now ranked fifth in the world with a score of 683 points.
With 353 points to his name, Afghanistan’s young sensation Rashid Khan is the top-ranked ODI all-rounder in world cricket according to the recent rankings.
