Rashid has been performing exceedingly well in the T20 leagues around the world. He has established himself as one of the most prominent spinners in the shortest format of the game and on Friday, he showed his worth in the crunch game against KKR and got SRH over the line almost single-handedly.
Rashid took 3 wickets for 19 runs against KKR in the second IPL qualifier at Eden Gardens after blasting a 10-ball 34 in the final overs to help Sunrisers Hyderabad post 174/7 at the Eden Gardens. After the match, Sachin Tendulkar took to Twitter and praised the leg-spinner calling him the best T20 spinner in the world.
Always felt was a good spinner but now I wouldn’t hesitate in saying he is the best spinner in the world in this format. Mind you, he’s got some batting skills as well. Great guy.

SRH, as has happened in the previous matches, were need of a finisher to get them to a healthy total against KKR. No one had stepped up in the previous matches and hence they suffered four straight losses. However, this time, Rashid took the onus upon himself and hammered four sixes and two fours after arriving at the crease at 134/6 in the 18th over and propelling his team to 174/7.
Rashid was a live wire on the field as well taking three catches and was involved in a run out as well. All in all, he had a dream match which helped his team enter the final of the Indian Premier League.
