IPL 2018 | Stuart Binny confident about Rajasthan Royals' chances

Stuart Binny has shown his confidence in Rajasthan Royals doing well in the 11the season of the Indian Premier League as the franchise joined the league after a two-year ban. The Royals’ all-rounder has also added that the current mix of players have the ability to perform as match-winners.

Ahead of the VIVO IPL 2018 season, Star Sports travelled to Jaipur for a special edition of Game Plan- In Your City to reflect the excitement on-ground ahead of the new season and to rally fans of the home team, Rajasthan Royals. In the latest episode of Game Plan, Jatin Sapru was accompanied by Star Sports’ expert panel of Aakash Chopra and Md. Kaif, and joined by the local team heroes, Stuart Binny, Sanju Samson and Aryaman Birla.

Rajasthan Royals, Champions of the inaugural IPL season have reunited with the talismanic Shane Warne to mentor the current crop of players in their bid to regain the coveted VIVO IPL crown.

Under the able leadership of Steve Smith along with the likes of Ben Stokes, Sanju Samson, Jaydev Unadkat and Ajinkya Rahane amongst their ranks, the team certainly seems to have everything what it takes to win their second VIVO IPL title this season. Binny has been one of the key players for the Jaipur based side with 80 IPL caps under his belt since making his debut against Kolkata Knight Riders in 2010.

Speaking exclusively to Star Sports, the official broadcaster of VIVO IPL 2018, Rajasthan Royals all-rounder Stuart Binny said, “Yes, I believe we have a very good chance of regaining the IPL trophy this year. The current mix of players which includes Rajasthan Royals’ veterans- Rahane and Samson along with international superstars like Stokes, Buttler and Unadkat certainly promise to be a match winning combination. It’s all about getting off to a winning start and get the confidence of the team going.”

The RR special Game Plan- In Your City episode will be telecasted on Star Sports 1, Star Sports 1 HD, Star Sports 1 Hindi and Star Sports 1 Hindi HD on March 18 at 9 am. The episode will talk about Rajasthan Royal’s strategy ahead of the new season, heroes to look out for and reflect the following for the team amongst the fans of the franchise.
