ICC to investigate entire Ajman League after blatant match-fixing

An immensely suspectful batting performance by Ajman League’s Sharjah Warriors has forced ICC’S Anti-Corruption Unit to investigate the entire league. The video of Warriors' absurd 46-run collapse while chasing 136, has left former cricketers fuming in disbelief that has tainted the sport.

The video clip of Warriors’ batting against Dubai Stars has gone viral as the batsmen were seen putting up a dodgy display that blatantly showed their lack of intent to hit the ball or willingness to reach back to the crease after swinging the bat nowhere near the ball.

There were instances of comical run-outs where both the batsmen stopped mid-pitch intentionally to allow the fielders to pick the ball and return it to wicket-keeper, which left even the commentators in disbelief. The international administrative cricket board’s Anti-Corruption Unit (ACU) has announced that they will now investigate the allegations and video evidence of the game.

UAE’s All-Star Ajman league, which was played over 23rd and 24th January, reportedly had players from the UAE, India, Pakistan and a small number from other cricket countries as well. The private league never got sanctioned by the UAE Cricket Board, as per reports, and the local officials also refused to let the tournament to continue at the Ajman Oval.

Former cricketers were infuriated by the video clip gone viral with the likes of Michael Vaughan or Brendan Taylor expressing their disgust on the social media.
