Virat Kohli unhappy with game stopping due to bad light; complains to match referee

Day 3 of the second Test was crucial in deciding which way the result was going to swing and it saw many ups and down from both sides and nobody could ignore the involvement of the light and weather’s role in the same.

In the last session of the day, the ground umpires stopped the game before the fixed time due to bad light and stated that the available light was not good enough to continue the play. Kohli didn’t agree with the umpire’s assertion and the television camera showed that he marched off right into the match referee Broad’s cabin and was seen moving his hands in frustration. 

India successfully managed to stop South Africa from a good start as Jasprit Bumrah removed Aiden Markram and Hashim Amla when the scorecard read only three runs. Then AB de Villiers and Dean Elgar took the responsibility of the team and started to build a much-needed partnership. 

During the 24th over of South Africa’s second innings, the rain interrupted the game and when the game resumed de Villiers completed his half-century. With a wet outfield creating some troubles for the bowlers, the Indian skipper was not too happy with the groundstaff's efforts. After four overs, the game was stopped again due to the poor light but later when the light had clearly improved, the umpires did not resume the game.
