VIDEO | Bangladeshi fan breaks into tears after Liton Das’ dismissal

Bangladesh fans often go overboard with their emotions and their failure to put a check on that has often made them irrational and consequently the butt of all jokes for others. Yesterday, following the dismissal of Liton Das, a fan broke down in tears in front of everyone in the stadium.

Oshane Thomas started the first T20I against Bangladesh with a barrage of bouncers and was compounded by Sheldon Cottrell's aggressive bowling from the other end. Tamim Iqbal was first dropped off the bowling of Thomas in the first over and was hurried by a short ball from Cottrell. After Tamim’s dismissal, Bangladesh wanted Liton to fire but it wasn’t to be.

A short ball by Thomas in the third over made Liton uncomfortable, who ran down the wicket and was cramped for room. After that, he was not in the position to go for the pull, and the wrong execution of the same meant he top-edged it and gave a simple catch to the fielder at mid-on. The dismissal brought a lot of jitters to the Bangladeshi line-up, but it seemed like it brought a lot of nervousness to the fans as well.

A fan present in the crowd, who had coloured his body like as a tiger, was completely shattered by the dismissal and started crying inconsolably. Bangladesh too went on to lose the game thanks to Shai Hope’s 55 off 23 balls.
