The Indian Premier League (IPL) is a long tournament and injuries are bound to happen. Hence, it provides the unsold players to feature as replacements. This IPL has already had a lot of injuries with Mitchell Starc, Jason Behrendorff, Kagiso Rabada among the notable ones to be ruled out of the IPL.
Australian fast bowler Pat Cummins was ruled out of the IPL a few days ago this season due to a back injury. And now, Mumbai Indians have named Kiwi pacer Adam Milne as the replacement for the Aussie quick. Milne was a part of the Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) setup and played 5 games across two seasons (2016 and 2017). The 26-year-old Kiwi fast bowler has already joined the MI squad and he also trained with the team ahead of their third game against Delhi Daredevils.
Milne has been in decent form in recent times playing for Central Districts in the domestic circuit in New Zealand. He has played 70 T20s in his career so far and has taken 83 wickets at an average of 23.21 and a strike-rate of 17.9.
