India vs Australia | Shikhar Dhawan released for first three ODIs

The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI), on Thursday, has announced that Team India opener Shikhar Dhawan will be not available for the first three ODIs to attend his unwell wife. The All India senior selection committee has decided not to name any replacement for the Indian opener.

The BCCI had announced the squad for the first three ODIs against Australia on September 10 and only R Ashwin and Ravindra Jadeja were seen as the two main players who missed the cut. However, the Team India opener has requested to be released from the team for the first three ODIs of the Australia tour of India, 2017 to attend to his wife, who is unwell. The All-India Senior Selection Committee has decided not to name any replacement for Dhawan in Indian Cricket Team.

The first match of the series will be played on September 17 in Chennai.

The team for first three ODIs against Australia is as follows:

Virat Kohli (Captain), Rohit Sharma (vice-captain), KL Rahul, Manish Pandey, Kedar Jadhav, Ajinkya Rahane, MS Dhoni (wk), Hardik Pandya, Axar Patel, Kuldeep Yadav, Yuzvendra Chahal, Jasprit Bumrah, Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Umesh Yadav, Mohammed Shami.
