Arjun Tendulkar helps Indian team prepare for Kiwi test in Wankhede

Arjun Tendulkar joined the Indian team ahead of the first ODI against New Zealand at the Wankhede to test the batsmen against the threat of Kiwi pacer Trent Boult. The left-arm pacer was on form the last time his team toured India but ended up losing the series 3-2 in the final match in Vizag.

As India prepared for yet another home series, the team practised for the first game in Mumbai with a session on Friday. While all the regular team bowlers were at hand to test the batsmen, Arjun Tendulkar was also on standby to have a run at India's top order. The last time the Kiwis were in India, they gave the hosts a run for their money as they levelled the series at two games apiece before being outclassed in the final game at Vizag.

One of the biggest weapons in the Kiwi attack was Trent Boult who piled on the pressure on the Indian batting order by picking up wickets and not leaking too many runs. In fact, in the two games that the visitors won last year, Boult finished with figures of 2/25 and 2/48. So to counter the threat posed by the left-arm pacer, India invited the young Indian to test the batting attack.

BCCI's official Twitter account posted the pictures of the same along with a video that showed the pacer bowling a bouncer to Shikhar Dhawan.

Tendulkar junior was been in the news recently when he was selected in Mumbai's team for the 5th Late Shri JY Lele All India Under-19 Invitational One Day tournament. The youngster also helped the Indian women's team prepare for the final in World Cup against England.
