The incident occurred just before the start of the final which was being played at Lahore's Gaddafi Stadium. It was brought to light by England batsman David Malan, who informed the concerned authorities about the intrusion. The event has caused the PCB a lot of embarrassment as it was the first time since 2009 that a high profile match was being played in Pakistan and the board had promised tight security for the match deploying around 12000 policemen, parliamentary rangers, and military personnel.
"It is a matter of concern for us and it came to our knowledge a few days back about this person getting into the dressing rooms. We have ordered an inquiry to find out how this happened and where the security lapse occurred," said PCB chairman Shaharyar Khan, reported PTI.
According to Malan, the person entered the dressing room before the start of the final and went around asking for selfies and autographs.
