Anil Kumble paid Rs 48 lakhs as fees for April 2017, reveals BCCI release

Former team Indian coach Anil Kumble was paid Rs 48 lakhs for his services in April 2017 while Rohit Sharma received Rs 1.12 crores and Ravichandran Ashwin earned Rs 1.01 crores according to their contracts. Meanwhile, Ajinkya Rahane was paid over Rs 1.10 crores as per to his central contract.

The BCCI released a statement of all the payments that the Indian board has made of over Rs 25 lakhs in June on Thursday. The payments were made to various contracted players, IPL franchises, host broadcaster, and other entities that were due to be paid by the BCCI.

Former Indian head coach Anil Kumble was paid Rs 48 lakh as his fees for the month of April. Rohit Sharma and Ravichandran Ashwin received Rs 1.12 crore and Rs 1.01 crore as their fees for the 2015-16 season while Indian vice-captain Ajinkya Rahane got slightly higher than Rs 1.10 crore for the same period.   

Mumbai Indians received Rs 22.86 crores as the second installment for their share of central rights in the IPL apart from Rs 34.29 crores for winning the title. Kolkata Knight Riders was amongst the other IPL teams to have received Rs 21 crore as their share in the central rights along with Rs 15.75 crore (approx.) as the prize money for finishing third in IPL 10.

The Indian board also compensated two foreign boards - Cricket South Africa and New Zealand Cricket - for releasing their players for IPL 10 who received Rs 4.034 crore approx and Rs 1.36 crore approx respectively. 

The board also paid the outstanding amount to the state cricket boards in Punjab Cricket Association (for hosting India vs New Zealand 2016, 3rd ODI), Tamil Nadu Cricket Association (for India v England 2016, 5th Test), Hyderabad Cricket Association (hosting IPL 10 Final), Mumbai Cricket Association (India v England 2016, 4th Test and IPL 10 Qualifier) and Madhya Pradesh Cricket Association (India v New Zealand 2016, 3rd Test) for hosting the respective matches.
