India and England create record of 300+ runs in every innings of series

India and England capped off a remarkable series of high scoring totals with another 300+ score in both innings to complete the first-ever ODI series where 300+ runs were scored in every innings. With six 300+ totals, this series is the fourth highest in 300+ totals across a bilateral ODI series.

With Yuvraj falling at 133/4 after 26 overs, the likelihood of a successful chase, let alone a 300+ score, was low but Hardik Pandya and Kedar Jadhav combined well to help India cross 300 and bring them close to the 322 target. However, even the best efforts of Jadhav(90) could not save India from losing the first match on home soil under Virat Kohli's leadership.

While there have been series with more 300+ ODI totals, Australia in India 2013/14 comes to mind, this is the first time in cricketing history that every innings of an ODI series witnessed a score of over 300.

Australia’s tour of India in 2013/14 leads the table with nine 300+ totals across 7 matches. This is followed by India's 2015/16 tour of Australia where eight out of the ten innings saw 300+ runs being scored. The only match where the teams were unable to reach 300 was when India handed Australia a target of 296 that was chased down by the Aussies.
