Tendulkar does a Viru on twitter with Piers Morgan

Batting great Sachin Tendulkar and English journalist Piers Morgan were involved in a Twitter exchange after Yuvraj Singh and MS Dhoni tore into the England bowling attack in the second ODI, leaving the English journalist frustrated that the visitors lacked a superstar who could do the same.

“What an amazing partnership between a superstar and a rockstar!! We enjoyed the show :) @YUVSTRONG12 @msdhoni#INDvENG,” Tendulkat tweeted with a photograph of the duo after their stunning fourth-wicket stand that set up India’s 15-run win.

Morgan responded to this by asking, “Know any superstar rockstars of the same age we could bring back to the England team to give you more of a game, Sachin?”

Morgan is a long-time critic of England Test captain Alastair Cook, a known Kevin Pietersen fan and was involved in a long-running Twitter fued with Virender Sehwag that saw the Indian opener finish with a classic: “India invented Kabaddi & r World Champs for 8th time.Elsewhere some country invented Cricket & r yet only good in correcting typos.#INDvIRN.”

Tendulkar did a Sehwag and tweeted, “Only one name comes to mind, and you've guessed it right? 😜 @piersmorgan”

Morgan had criticised India’s poor run at the Rio Olympics, tweeting: “Country with 1.2 billion people wildly celebrates 2 losing medals. How embarrassing is that?”

He’s at the receiving end following England’s continuous dismal performance in India – first the 4-0 Test rout and now in the ODIs.
