WATCH: Bangladesh's ridiculous review against Kohli

DRS rules were brought in to reduce the impact of human errors, but they are certainly not meant to be used the way Bangladesh are using it. On a delivery that Virat Kohli clearly middled to the point region, Bangladesh appealed for an LBW and even went for a review when turned down.

Every once in a while, teams do take ridiculous reviews. And what Bangladesh did on the first day of the one-off Test against Bangladesh would be right up there. In the 62nd over of the innings, Taijul Islam tossed one up on the middle and leg stump to Virat Kohli. Kohli, who was batting on 31 at that point of time, confidently brought his bat down and harmlessly guided the ball to point. He had hit the ball right from the middle of the bat, and the ball was not even close to his pads.

But Bangladesh captain Mushfiqur Rahim did not think so and appealed for an LBW. Event though none of his teammates, not even the bowler, seemed too interested in his appeal, Rahim went ahead and asked for a review of the decision, which, unsurprisingly, upheld the original decision.
