Every fan wanted to see his star playing live, have their autograph and try their best to get photographs clicked, but some are so passionate that they even run onto the field to touch them. The same thing happened with MS Dhoni when a fan ran onto the ground to touch his feet in the Mohali ODI.

The second ODI between India and Sri Lanka will be remembered for a long time as Rohit Sharma played an unbeaten knock of 208 runs which helped Team India set a target of 392/4 in allotted 50 overs. In response, Sri Lanka managed only 251/8 and lost the game by 141 runs.

Apart from the sparkling performance of Rohit, there was another interesting incident that was happened during the second ODI. When the Team India was out for fielding, suddenly one fan ran onto the field and quickly reached near Dhoni who was standing behind the stumps. Before the Indian wicketkeeper-batsman could even stop him, the fan bent down and touched his feet. However, the security came and took him out from the ground instantly.

This isn’t the first incident when Dhoni witnessed this kind of situation. In January, during the first warm-up match between India A and England, a fan ran onto the pitch to touch the former Indian skipper’s feet before the security guards could drag him off. During the Vijay Hazare quarter-final match between Jharkhand and Vidarbha which happened in the March 2017, a fan also ran onto the ground to take his autograph.
