WATCH | MS Dhoni produces vintage lighting quick stumping off wide ball

Lasith Malinga came out to bat with Sri Lanka already in all sorts of trouble at 187 for 8 after suffering yet another batting collapse. However, Malinga aimed to finish the Lankan innings on a high and started off well as he smashed Axar Patel for a huge six over long on in the 41st over.

After this, the pacer looked to repeat his exploits in the very next over as he came down the track to Yuzvendra Chahal. But on noticing Malinga’s intentions, the leg-spinner pushed a flighted delivery outside off stump, which the pacer failed to make contact with. Dhoni did the rest as he completed an easy stumping by dislodging the bails in lightning quick time. Despite the delivery being called a wide ball by the umpire, Malinga had to make the long walk back to the dressing room as Sri Lanka were reduced to 200/9 with eight overs of their innings still to go. 

Following this, Sri Lanka was not able to bat their full quota of 50 overs as Jasprit Bumrah wrapped up the Lankan innings for a meager 216 by castling debutant Vishwa Fernando for a duck.
