Ahead of the important game against Kolkata Knight Riders at the Eden Gardens this afternoon, Royal Challengers have been boosted by the returns of AB De Villiers, Tymal Mills, and Samuel Badree. The trio had missed games due to injury but are fit to play today.

Both De Villiers and Mills were seen practicing in the nets yesterday and one of the RCB officials was reported, according to reports from IANS, as saying, “He is fit and is available for selection.” Meanwhile, Samuel Badree is also expected to play after Bangalore seamer Sreenath Aravind revealed that the West Indian is also fit.

RCB picked up a much-needed win against the Gujarat Lions by 21 runs, riding on the back of Chris Gayle’s 38 ball 77, as the Jamaican became the first player to score 10,000 T20 runs, after they had posted a mammoth total of 212. RCB’s victory over the Lions was important given that they had crashed to a 21-run defeat to the Rising Pune Supergiant in their previous game, owing to dismal performances with both bat and ball.

Going into the encounter today, Bangalore are in second last position on the table with just 4 points from their 6 games so far, while Kolkata are sitting pretty in the second spot with 8 points from 6 games.
